Marianne Elmquist, PhD, is a T32 postdoctoral research trainee. She received her PhD in Educational Psychology – Special Education from the University of Minnesota. Her current research interests focus on fostering language acquisition for young children with complex communication needs (CCN) by examing proximal (e.g., language-facilitating interactions, child characteristics) and distal (e.g., policy, access to services) influences on language acquisition to improve future caregiver-implemented communication interventions.
